Primary curriculum
SCIENTIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND TECHNOLOGICAL UNDERSTANDING:
'Essential knowledge': Children should build secure knowledge of the power of creative ideas and approaches in science and technology to explore and explain our world.
'Breadth of learning': Children should share expertise in subjects that interest them and respond to relevant and current issues, locally and in the national media. This includes visiting places to learn about science and design and technology, noting that this includes exploring remote locations through the use of ICT to encounter environments, products, people and places beyond the immediate locality.
